Local Love Event 2017
We look forward to our Local Love Event every year because it’s an amazing opportunity to get together with all our favorite local businesses and influencers! Our local community is what keeps us doing what we do, we couldn’t do it without you! This year’s event was one for the books! We wanted to highlight and thank each vendor for participating with us:
A LOCAL TASTE
THE MIGHTY BAKER
Can we all just take a moment and soak in the amazing-ness that is this CHAIR CAKE! We’ve seen Pete’s amazing work before (he won the 2016 Cake Wars title this past Summer!) and were thrilled to have him create something special for this year’s event. It was almost too cute to eat…almost! And it seriously taste amazing. It was the perfect centerpiece to our tasting Table!
Also, incase you were curious, it’s modeled after one of our favorite LEE Industries chairs: The 1793-01!
He also brought along some other sweet treats: Stroopwaffle, chocolate chip, and dark chocolate cookies.
THE BLONDE WHO BAKES
We’ve been long time fans of Whitney of The Blonde Who Bakes. She’s been a part of Gatehouse events for many years! If you’ve tried her Macarons, you know why we keep asking her to come back! Our favorite of the night? Cherry Cheesecake! Order a box of these and any other sweet treats on here site here: THE BLONDE WHO BAKES
La jolla groves
We’ve been long time lovers of La Jolla Groves. We’ve even had a few of our Holiday Team Parties at their lovely venue in the Shops at Riverwoods Mall! Their food is delicious and the ambiance of the restaurant is a breath of fresh air, especially during these long winter days.
Spa waters
Gatehouse designer, Rachel Folkman, is the master of creating the amazing spa water concoctions at all our events. Not only do they taste amazing but they also LOOK amazing! This event featured “Blood Orange et Fraise” and “Minty Melon”.
CRUST CLUB
Have you heard of Crust Club? We are totally hooked. Their slogan is “get dinner delivered to your doorstep”. They are famous for their dinner pies that you can order HERE. They sampled their sweet desert pies called “Babies”.
LEE INDUSTRIES
And of course a huge thanks to LEE Industries. They are the reason this Gatehouse tradition started! We love their product and we LOVE them!
