5 Tips to create the bedroom of your dreams!
Create a Sanctuary
We spend more time in our bedrooms than anywhere else making it crucial we design a space that invokes relaxation and tranquility. Your bedroom can become a true sanctuary in your home; the very best place to drift off and release the cares of the day and wake up for a fresh start. Here are a few ways from the design team at Gatehouse to create the space of your dreams:
Turn Heads
Your bed creates the design direction and the focal point of your bedroom. From custom fabric or leather upholstered headboards to beds made with various woods and finishes, there is a style that will reflect your unique design sensibilities.
Our current favorite trend: is customization from choosing your upholstery to custom painted beds
The Hue for You
Color palettes for bedrooms are best when they evoke peace and relaxation such as tranquil greens and blues. Soft tones like blush pinks, creamy whites and grays are also great especially when paired with warmer camel and bronze or gold tones to keep it sophisticated and upscale. Whatever color you land on, we recommend including a variety of textures that will keep it inviting and cozy.
Comfort counts
When it comes to bedding, textiles matter. Luxury linens will make your sleeping experience a dream. With today’s advanced textile technology you can have comfort, durability, and style all in one. We are currently loving Belgian linens for their ease of care and a clean yet traditional quality look and feel. Layers are key to creating comfort! From sheet sets to coverlets and blankets to a wonderful duvet cover, the layering of each is what will give it the perfect blend for not only a pretty aesthetic but also a perfect night’s sleep.
Pillow Talk
Pillows are the final touch to making the bed your own. Start with the shams- from Euros to our current new favorite the super king or super euros size (the height of a euro sham with the length of a king Sham) along the back row with even just one king sham in the front to keep it clean but with a big impact- or a few decorative accents along the front of the bed- pillows will bring it all together and complete your look in a simple and beautiful way.
